Ball valve is widely used in a general valve, the use of large, consumption is also fast, therefore, reasonable maintenance, or can improve work efficiency, but also reduce maintenance time, save replacement costs. Available in manual operated type, electrically operated type and pneumatically operated type.
To make the ball valve stable performance, long life, need to pay attention to the following factors:
1. Before use, water should be used to clean the pipe and valve body to prevent residual iron and other debris into the valve body cavity.
2. Ball valve in the closed state, the body is still part of the residual media, also bear a certain pressure. Before overhauling the ball valve, close the shut-off valve in front of the ball valve, open the ball valve that needs to be overhauled, and completely relieve the pressure inside the valve body. If it is electric or pneumatic ball valve, you should first disconnect the power and air source.
3. Generally, the soft seal ball valve uses PTFE as the sealing material, the hard seal ball valve sealing surface is made of metal surfacing welding. If you need to clean the pipeline ball valve, in the removal of care to prevent damage to the sealing ring and leakage.
4. When disassembling and assembling the Flange Ball Valve, the bolts and nuts on the flange should be fixed first, then all the nuts should be slightly tightened, and finally firmly fixed. If individual nut is fixed by force first, then fix other nut, between the flange surface will be damaged or broken because of uneven lining, resulting in valve flange joint medium leakage.
5. If the valve is cleaned, the solvent used must not clash with the parts to be cleaned and not corrode. If is the gas special ball valve, then may carry on the cleaning with the gasoline. Other parts and components can generally be cleaned with intermediate water. When cleaning, to thoroughly clean the residual dust, oil and other attachments, such as water can not be cleaned, can not damage the valve body and parts on the premise of targeted cleaning with alcohol and other cleaning agents. After cleaning, wait for the cleaning agent to completely volatilize before assembling.
6. If the packing is found in the use of a small leak, you can slightly tighten the stem nut, tight to leak stop can not continue to tighten.
7. Long-term open storage, will cause the valve body and components rust, can not be used properly. Ball valves should be stored waterproof, waterproof, moisture-proof, and will cover the flange tightly. Valves stored for more than 12 months should be retested for stable performance.
