Definition of Sewage Treatment
Sewage Treatment: the process by which sewage is purified to meet the quality requirements for discharge into a body of water or reuse. Sewage treatment is widely used in construction, agriculture, transportation, energy, petrochemical, environmental protection, urban landscape, medical, catering and other fields, but also more and more into the daily life of ordinary people.
Classification of Sewage Treatment
According to the source of sewage classification, sewage treatment is generally divided into production sewage treatment and domestic sewage treatment. Production sewage includes industrial sewage, agricultural sewage and medical sewage, and domestic sewage is the sewage produced by daily life, which refers to various forms of inorganic and organic complex mixture, these include: 1 floating and suspended size solid particles; 2 colloidal and gel-like diffusers; 3 pure solutions.
According to the nature of water pollution, there are two kinds of water pollution: one is natural pollution; the other is man-made pollution. Water pollution can be divided into chemical pollution, physical pollution and biological pollution. The main pollutants are: (1) untreated industrial waste water; (2) untreated domestic waste water; (3) a large number of agricultural waste water using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides; (4) industrial waste and domestic garbage piled up along the river; Soil and water loss; mine sewage.
Sewage Valve
Modern sewage treatment technology, according to the degree of treatment, can be divided into the first, second and third treatment, generally according to the water quality and treatment of water to determine the degree of sewage treatment. The valves used at each level are also different.
Primary Processing
It mainly removes the suspended solid pollutants in the sewage, and most of the physical treatment methods can only fulfill the requirement of primary treatment. After the first level of sewage treatment, BOD general removal of about 30% , can not meet the discharge standards. The primary processing belongs to the pre-processing of the secondary processing. Used for valves and pipe accessories are: knife gate valve, three eccentric butterfly valve, filter and so on.
Secondary Processing
The main purpose is to remove colloidal and dissolved organic pollutants (Bod, COD) , the removal rate can reach 90% , so that the organic pollutants can meet the discharge standard, and the removal rate of suspended matter can reach 95% . The valves used are, soft seal butterfly valve, gate valve, ball valve, check valve and so on.
Tertiary Treatment
Further treatment of refractory organics, nitrogen and phosphorus can lead to algal bloom of soluble inorganic substances. The main methods include biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal, coagulation and sedimentation, sand filtration, activated carbon adsorption, ion exchange and electrodialysis. The valves used are, to clip butterfly valve, gate valve, ball valve, check valve, rubber flexible joint and so on.
COVNA also manufactures electric actuated valve, pneumatically actuated valve and solenoid valves for your sewerage system. Any issues with the valve during the project process, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are a pleasure to help you resolve the problem.
